Friends this is your Association and the strength shall increase only if you participate, demand more, egg us to intervene more, encourage us by your presence in the seminars and meetings, give us your honest feedbacks and support.
We have taken lot of initiatives and accomplished some tasks which I have highlighted in ‘Mohali Industries Association – At A Glance.’

Mohali Industrial Focal Point – In Brief
Mohali, a planned satellite town of Chandigarh has assumed an important place on the Industrial map of India. It has gained District Status. The major factor responsible for the growth of industry in this district is availability of infrastructure at one place. Its proximity to Chandigarh and better living conditions have added impetus to its growth.
There is a fairly large concentration of large and medium units in Mohali. There are about 35 such units with an investment of about 1000 crores providing employment to over 18000 workers. Large Scale industries like Mahindra & Mahindra, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co., Semi Conductor Complex, Punjab Communications Ltd. has widened the scope for ancillary units.
In the small scale there are more than 1300 units in Mohali employing over 25000 workers. These units manufacture a wide range of products which include railway components, auto parts, tractor parts, sanitary fittings, furniture items. PVC pipes, chemicals, corrugated boxes, rubber and silicon material, precision parts, industrial gases, engineering items etc.
Mohali has come to be known as Silicon Valley because o the concentration of units manufacturing electronic goods. There are 13 large and medium and 55 small scale electronic units producing TV sets transformers, electronic sockets, mini computers, electronic telecom equipments, dish antennas, computer peripherals etc.
We have very prestigious government and semi government offices of C-DAC – Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, NIPER- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, NIIFT : Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology, CEDT: Centre for Electronics Design and Technology which are located in SAS Nagar, Mohali.
Mohali has a District Industries Centre, an Industrial Development cum Quality Marking Centre for engineering goods, BIS Testing Laboratories and a Geological Lab. It also has a laboratory conducting testing services and calibration services by quality professionals.
